Handmade Jacket Debut made with Buckwheat Bridge Angoras Fiber

We were pleased this past spring and early summer to collaborate with textile designer Pascale Gatzen to develop the fine wool and mohair blend yarn for these jackets. The following is an invite to the opening of the premier exhibit featuring the initial showing of these amazing jackets to the public. Best wishes to Pascale and ‘friends of light’ as they continue on their journey bringing locally sourced, sustainably produced textiles into the mainstream of fashion. Our NEW online store is open + YARN CRAWL specials

Hi everyone,

NEW SHOP!

We’re trying a new online marketplace tool to sell our goods. If you came away from our booth at the Sheep and Wool Festival with a coupon, you can use them there. We look forward to fulfilling your orders for our super fine kid mohair Very Special Yarn, socks and blankets. http://bwbagoats.myshopify.com

YARN CRAWL

Nov. 17-18th, we’re excited to host our region’s fiber art lovers for the Hudson Valley Yarn Crawl. There’s no sign-up process for the Yarn Crawl, but there is a map on the organizer’s site. Drop a note if you can, so we know roughly when to expect you.

YARN CRAWL FARM OPEN HOURS: 10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.

There’s also info on the Ravelry Group, but the map and website tell it all: http://www.ravelry.com/groups/hudson-valley-yarn-crawl

In other news, we’ve bred the goats a few weeks ago, and just finished breeding the sheep. All’s healthy, no mishaps with predators at all, thanks to our fantastic Maremma work dogs. The windmill is asking for another Sandy… no damage there.

Come by and visit next weekend, Nov 17-18th.
